What is the OEM Website Audit?
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to provide full-text websites that contain emissions-related service information for 1996 and later model year vehicles. The EPA has begun a process to gather feedback from the automobile service technician community on the OEM websites. See the Overview of the OEM Website Audit Process for further details.
What is the Steering Committee?
In order to help maintain a neutral approach to this process, EPA has formed a small steering committee to design and oversee the evaluation. The Steering Committee is comprised of industry representatives from OEMs, tool companies, repair shops, and after-market associations. Any member of the Steering Committee may be contacted about the OEM Website Audit Project.
What is the Purpose of this Project Website?
The Steering Committee has launched this website to provide a convenient means of communicating with the technician community and others interested in this project. This project website is not an official EPA website and does not represent the positions or policies of EPA.
If you have any questions about this project or the information on this website, please Contact Us or feel free to contact one of the Steering Committee members.
